1. After Hours Collection and Return Fees
Vehicle collections and returns after 4.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and after 12.30pm on Sundays and public holidays, are only available if booked at least 7 days in advance and confirmed by our Reservations Team. A NZ$60 fee per after hours collection and NZ$60 per after hours return applies to cover additional staffing and depot access arrangements. After hours collections are strictly limited to between 6.30am and 8.00pm.
2. Child / Booster Seat
All our car seats conform to the latest European Safety Standard ECE R44/04, recognised by NZ law, and carry the ‘E’ mark as required by the NZ Transport Agency. They can be legally used in New Zealand.
3. Streaming Devices (Chromecast, Firestick or Similar)
TV reception is extremely limited in New Zealand. Streaming devices such as Chromecast, Firestick, or similar allow you to watch numerous channels via mobile phone data. The streaming device can be connected to TV units in our campervans. Depending on the TV, you will need one or two mobile phones and a suitable data plan. One phone will supply a hotspot data connection while the other phone can cast selected channels to the TV. The streaming device is plugged into the USB and HDMI ports of the TV and does not require 240V power.
4. Inverter 150 Watt 12V to 240V
The 150 Watt 12V to 240V inverter can be connected to the 12V power supply in your vehicle. It converts the 12V power of your house battery to low wattage 240V in house power. This is suitable for charging small wattage items such as a laptop via a normal 240 Volt power plug. Please note that this device will not power kettles, toasters, heaters, hair dryers, or other high wattage items.
5. Snow Chains
Snow chains are available for hire during winter and must be used when required by road authorities in snow or icy conditions. They must be requested in advance. Any damage resulting from incorrect fitting or use is not covered by insurance and remains the hirer’s responsibility.
