Wendekreisen aims to provide good value for money. As a result, we have developed a short-list of key points relating to additional expenses, often charged by our competitors. Please take a moment and read the table below. This will ensure that you make an informed purchase decision when comparing our quotations to those of our competitors.

Insurance Value
Although the insurance excess applies to each single accident, the cover of the insurance extends to multiple events. This means that if you have more than one accident, your insurance option will not expire and you will not need to pay additional premiums
Each insurance policy may only have one individual claim made by the hirer. The policy may be cancelled after each accident and all payments are forfeited. The operator may reserve the right to agree to a renewal of any insurance policy or may cancel the hire at the hirers cost
Excess with standard insurance
NZ$1500.00 (includes $0 excess third party damage insurance cover)
From NZ$2,000 up to NZ$7,500 (excess often applies to third party damages)
Excess with full comprehensive insurance cover
NZ$20 extra per day with no excess for damages to tyres or the windscreen. Carries a NZ$250 excess in the event of damage. Covers overhead and under-body damages (areas of high risk) and includes our GPS system, multimedia centre, baby/child seats and other optional extras
NZ$40-NZ$55 extra per day with the excess ranging from $250 - $0. Often excludes damages to the overhead and the under-body of the vehicle (areas of high risk). Often includes optional extras such as GPS, baby/child seats, etc.
How is the excess taken
By imprint only. Your funds will not be frozen nor charged unless new damages have been registered. Damages are settled at vehicle return.
Your excess + a credit card payment fee may be deducted. The refund of the excess is usually processed 3 days after you return your vehicle

Traffic Infringement Handling Fee
We will charge a NZ$35 handling fee for each parking or traffic infringement. We will charge a NZ$20 handling fee for each outstanding toll road fee
A flat handling fee ranging from $50 - $100 per infringement or outstanding toll road fee
Extra drivers
Approximately NZ$1.00 per driver per day
Gas refill
Just return the gas bottle filled

Carbon Offsets
Wendekreisen will voluntarily offset the fuel emission carbon imprint of all hires at 54kg per rental day. In the period 1st April 2014 - 31st March 2017, we have offset gold standard carbon credits (via the New Zealand Native Forests Restoration Trust) totaling 8000 metric tonnes
